Online Shopping in the Philippines

Hey, Everyone!

Christmas is almost near. Can you feel it in the air? This festive season is always something we look forward to at the end of the year. And an essential part of Christmas is the tradition of giving and receiving gifts!

But with that endeavor, shopping for gifts to give to your loved ones can be tiresome when you go to the mall or any boutique, and it’s filled up with customers. It makes the experience less enjoyable when you have to wait hours to try on something in the dressing room and line up to pay for that item at the cashier. But with that comes the advent of online shopping!

I’ve tried getting items online and they’ve mostly been positive experiences. So if there are any reservations or hesitation on your part with regards to online shopping, let them go! It’s really a hassle free experience especially when you get the item and finally open it up. The anticipation of waiting for that tracking number on the courier’s website and it finally arriving is priceless. Ha! Did I mention that it’s hassle free?

So with that, here are some websites that I recommend to you to check out for hassle free and safe online shopping in the Philippines during the Christmas holidays.

First is a favorite website of mine, Lazada. They basically sell anything and everything. All kinds of stuff from gadgets, electronics, cameras, appliances, fashion, clothes, books, laptops and anything you can think of!

What’s cool about it is that they have these awesome discounts and flash sales posted on the front page of their site. A flash sale is wherein at an exact moment in time, they place the item up for sale, and it usually is at a bargain. I bought my Xiaomi Mi3 & Xiaomi 10,400 mAh powerbank from their site and it was very convenient. Back when they were the only online carriers of the Mi brand, I hopped on to the flash sales of both the cellphones and the powerbank, and they were definitely great purchases.

Like I mentioned earlier, the shopping experience online over at Lazada is great. They have flexible payment terms like credit card, bank deposit and the best option, which is Cash On Delivery. For those of you who are still hesitant, you can choose cash on delivery, where you pay for your items once they are delivered at your doorstep. Amazing, right? They also have a buyer’s protection guarantee as well as a trusted seller’s screening for all the vendors on their site, so you are secured when you make transactions online. Shipping is also free for orders over PHP 1,000.00 and there’s a small fee even if your order doesn’t reach that amount.

So what are you waiting for? Check out Lazada now!

Second website I’d like to feature is ZALORA Philippines. Their website is more focused on clothing and accessories. But their selection is pretty extensive. I’ve even tried downloading their mobile app, and navigating through it is a breeze. If you want to focus your online shopping experience on clothes and accessories, this is the way to go.

But you might be hesitant on shopping for clothes especially when it comes to fit and sizing, right? They have a friendly size chart indicated on all their items and they offer 30 days free returns for their items! I even tried asking my friends about their experience on the site and here’s what they had to say.

All the comments have been positive and same as Lazada, they also offer free shipping for orders above PHP 995.00 and their payment options are also friendly with credit card, bank deposit and cash on delivery.

Some of my friends are really happy with their shipping service, with items coming in the next day. Know more about Zalora’s delivery service by clicking this link. Check out ZALORA Philippines now, as they also have a lot of sales and discounts for bulk purchases and marked down items.

Last but definitely not the least, is Kimstore. This online website that specializes in cellphones, accessories and gadgets started off as a simple selling page on Facebook. The owner, Kim Lato, was awarded as one of the up and coming entrepreneurs. Its Facebook page has swelled up to almost 700,000 likes on Facebook. They offer daily updates on their latest promos and discounts on their gadgets and cellphones.

Whenever people try to ask me on cellphones or gadgets and if the price is worth it by buying it in the mall, I always tell them to check the price on Kimstore. They are one of the most competitive in terms of pricing, and you always get bang for buck on your purchases. Whenever there are new releases like the recently released iPhone 6S and 6S Plus, they were one of the first to get them out on their site.

Ordering on their website is pretty easy, and although their payment options aren’t as flexible in terms of installment payments like Lazada or Zalora, they still have cash on delivery, bank deposit and credit card payments. Since they mostly deal with gadgets and electronics, they make sure that their shipping is insured and accounted for. I can attest to this because I recently just ordered an LG G4 and it was a breeze. Definitely check out Kimstore if you want to get a new gadget or cellphone.

So those are just some of the websites that I recommend for you to check out if you want to give online shopping in the Philippines a try. It’s hassle free, convenient and secure! In this day and age, shipping and ordering has become easier than ever.
