Graduation Ball Presidential Address

This journey through college has been a remarkable one. When we first entered the gates of USC-TC back in 2008-2009, we were so unfamiliar with the new surroundings and adjustments we had to make. We had just graduated from High school and we were again thrown into a new environment, all with new challenges and experiences. It was both exciting and scary at the same time.

Now, 5 years later, we are leaving the gates of the very same institution we entered several years ago, as we begin a new chapter in our lives. As they say, we’re now about to enter the real world and take on new roles and responsibilities. I’m pretty sure that we are all up to the challenge because everything up to this point in time has molded us into persons of character and integrity. We acknowledge the presences and contribution of the people who have made a major impact in our lives.

To our parents, for their unending love, care and support at all times. They have been our rock and foundation, and they have always been there for us both in good and difficult times.

To the University of San Carlos, all of the staff and our dearest IE department faculty and teachers, for imparting knowledge and expertise and being patient with us through this whole process. All the lessons, both in and outside of the classroom, have shaped us to be the people that we are today, and for this, we cannot thank you enough.

To our friends and classmates, for being our second family. We have been together for the past 5 years, forging friendships and memories that will be with us always. Let us not forget what we have been through together, and that we are always there for each other.

College has been a roller coaster ride, full of ups and downs. We have celebrated our fair moments of success as well as our humbling moments of failure. All of this have strengthened us and prepared us for the next chapter in our journey. We are at a crossroad, and we do not know where life might lead us, but we have to accept this and take it head on. Some say it might be the end, but truly, it is only the beginning. Thank you and congratulations to us all.
