Greetings and salutations! It’s the end to another busy and enjoyable week. I’ve been catching up with my zombie killer side as me and my friends are currently glued to the addictive survival horror FPS game known as Left 4 Dead 2.
We’ve finished all the regular campaigns, and boy has it been fun. Memorable to say the least. The Left 4 Dead series has always had a good balance between the frantic action and survival horror. It’s no surprise here as masses of zombie hordes try to tear you up. Luckily though, there is also massive firepower to be enjoyed, ranging from chainsaws to molotov cocktails.
You and 3 other friends should give this game a shot. It may seem sort of intense and creepy (especially with the music on) at first, but it becomes fun and challenging as you progress on. When I first played the game, the zombies scared the crap out of me. I get frightened pretty easily. After a while though, it gets easier. It’s almost like second nature to grab an axe or a katana, and melee their asses, Spartan style!
From the details above, it’s pretty clear that it’s going to be held at Handuraw Gorordo. If you don’t know where that is, it’s nearby UP Cebu and Kukuk’s Nest. Jeepneys you can take will be the 04C and the 17B as usual. Be in the know! It’ll start off at 9PM. We should be really grateful for the sponsors Artist Ko and Handuraw. I’m sure it’s going to be great!
The bands featured:
Sorry, couldn’t find a decent pic of the band together.
I haven’t heard much of this band. According to their facebook page, (which you can click above) they’ve been taking a break. But listening to their recent video, the song entitled “Blue” is pretty nice. Chilled vibes all around. Might be interesting to hear them.
This looks pretty rad. Check out the Joints ‘n Cookies shirt.
I heard this band play during the recently concluded Sonic Boom! Sinulog Blast-Off last January 15. They were pretty good. Some cool rock riffs here and there. Let’s see how they sound tomorrow!
Their motto: World domination without the drama. Or something like that.
I also heard this band during the Blast-Off and boy they were a pleasure to listen to. Something out of the ordinary. You can be sure that their offbeat time signatures and funky riffs will catch you off-guard, but they produce a very practiced and catchy sound after a while. Fun to jam along to!
The boys on a mission. EP coming out soon!
I heard these guys one day while I was bored and decided to go soundtripping. It’s pretty damn catchy. I found myself replaying their Tambayan sa Outpost videos over and over again. Rest assured, this band will be making waves!
So there you have it, here are the 4 bands that are going to be playing tomorrow! Once again, let’s be grateful for the sponsors for tomorrow’s Beer, Pizza, and Rock & Roll gig!
Check out their facebook page. A dedicated means of spreading the word of the artistic expressions of the locals. Good stuff.
Like the picture above says, the best tasting thin crust pizza. They aren’t kidding, it’s good. Every true blue Cebuano should try it at least once.
There you have it! This post has been filled with zombies, beer, pizza, and rock & roll! It is all the goodness you could possibly want in one Saturday night. I’m glad to be sharing it with my friends, aptly named the assholes. Fitting name.
I invite all of you to check out the gig tomorrow! Don’t forget. Artist Ko and Handuraw Pizza present Vulturez, Shuffled, Foc Fashion, and Bethany! 9PM Handuraw Gorordo. This will truly be a night to remember. The next Saturday will also be epic, and I’ll be writing about it too. But for the meantime, let’s focus on this great gig! Great hangs to be had.
Until next time, Cheers!
