A tribute to one of my more interesting teachers in High School.

You know when you have that seemingly terror teacher in highschool? It may come in the usual subjects of mathematics, science or english, but my teacher specifically terrorized in the subject Christian Life Formation. Never have I been so scared to learn more about my faith than through this teacher.

I came across one of my old mastery tests when looking for old valuables to sell so I’d have some moolah for the summer. Check this out. Some of my classmates in 4th year can relate to the wracking headaches and frustrations we had in trying to understand and solve these cases. Case analysis using circumstances and conditions to judge a person’s sinfulness and moral liability in a particular situation. Read on, my friends.

Part III (Case Analysis)

1.) “Tu-ba-zooka”. In a tube wine shop, Mayor Remo Duayne offered tuba to the alluring Charingse, the wife of police chief Jon Claude Ivanken. As she refused to drink, the mayor threatened to hurt her if she wouldn’t accept. There ensued an interchange of foul words between her and the mayor. Seeing this, Jon Claude stepped to defend his wife and attempted to take from the mayor the bazooka he was already pointing at Charingse. This occasioned a disturbance which attracted the attention of Timo Kiejoji, the head of the local chapter of KBP (Kapisanan ng mga Broadcaster sa paligidligid, in short mga tsismoso’t tsismosa). In the course of the struggle, mayor Remo managed to disengage himself from Jon Claude, who, on the other hand, wrenched the bazooka, but in the process, the bazooka went off, hitting and instantly demolishing Timo Kiejoji. Evaluate Jon Claude’s act.

2.) Sleepless in the city. Sgt. Billy Hann, while inflicted with schizophrenic reaction, a kind of slight psychosis or mild mental disorder, also suffers with somnambulism or sleep walking. One night while sleeping, he suddenly got up, took a light weight machine gun and began walking towards a crowded but lively discoral in the city center. Chienda Hann, upon noticing her husband’s absence, got up and went to look for him. It was already too late when she finally found him. Her husband already indiscriminately opened fire, killing a lot of those who were happily dancing in the disco. Evaluate Billy’s act.

3.) The love Bird. Jayme Darikyl was courting Erich Himes in vain. One day, Jayme approached Erich and spoke to her of his love which she flatly refused. Thereupon, Jayme suddenly embraced Erich and kissed her so furiously, on account of which, she gave him fist blows and kicked him on the groin. Theresfter, she armed herself with a fan knife whenever she went out. One week later, Jayme entered a church during a Sunday mass, saw Erich and a vacant seat beside. He went on to seat and after a while, placed his hand on the upper part of Erich’s thigh; Erich pulled out her fan knife and stabbed Jayme at the base of his neck inflicting a mortal wound. Evaluate Erich’s act.

4.) Infanticide? On the week of giving her birth to a child, Charianne Triejon, a pregnant woman of barangay Quacknet located at the slopes of Mt. Tudok Mamot, went to the thicket to defacate one late and stormy night of June 2006. While trying and struggling to do her thing, she suddenly felt severe dizziness and extreme debility. She then collapsed and an hour later, regained consciousness but still very weak and dizzy. She rose then fell to the ground once more. She then struggled to crawl back to her house not knowing that she had already given birth to a child who consequently died due to exposure to bad weather and bites of the animals roaming around the thicket. Upon reaching the house, she again collapsed. Evaluste Charianne’s act.

Upon entering the room, Kyle immediately assaulted Ernesto and Jessa with several blows using a solid steel reading chair Kyle picked up in the room. In the altercation, Ernesto was able to hold a sharp letter opener on the headdress of the bed and with it he inflicted mortal wounds to Kyle. Evaluate Ernesto’s act.

Unforunately, Chucky caught Willijoe when the former was passing by and was hit by a stone coming from the latter’s sling shot. Chucky, then angrily reprimanded Willijoe but the latter, offended by the angry and insulting remarks, retaliated with several shots and eventually seriously injuring the right eye of Chuck. My teacher had a fond habit of changing the names of the people in the cases with his students of that particular year. It is both amusing and frustrating as I recall and re-read these cases.

What’s the lesson we can learn from this? Err, nothing really haha. I’m kidding. It really is a wonder how the teachers we have in the past influence our future so much. I know I learned a lot from this teacher of mine that faith is not just something easily obtained. The end might come like a thief in the night, and we’d never know it already came.

It’s finals week and I am still so unprepared. Who cares? It’s summer time! Hope you guys enjoy your summer as much as I will. See you all! :)
